The preventive maintenance technician is tasked with conducting service and repair operations on a variety of equipment and is capable of working both individually and as part of a team. The machinery requiring evaluation and repair includes earthmoving equipment, diesel engines, electric power generators, lift trucks, and related products. Successful completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and e-learning is essential for ongoing participation in the technician training program. The PM technician is expected to show proactive initiative, a strong commitment to teamwork, a keen focus on customer service, and an efficient approach to problem-solving. Advancement in the role is contingent upon the individual's attitude, skill development, and job performance.
Essential Job Functions:
- Planning and executing minor repairs using the appropriate tools and methodologies
- Efficiently ordering and returning parts for assigned tasks
- Capable of conducting preventive maintenance services in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Demonstrating adept usage of service information systems
- Assisting as a helper in field service operations alongside an experienced technician when necessary
- Performing independently in field assignments as needed
Education

High School or Equivalent or better.
Experience
Required
A minimum of one (1) year work experience involving mechanical repairs or a combination of relevant experience and equivalent technical education is required. Experience using personal computers, and basic typing skills are required.
